2-Day Mumbai Explorer

About this tour
Two full days with a private car and the same guide throughout. Day one is the city: the landmarks, the markets, the temples and the views, at a pace that leaves room for a proper lunch. Day two is the Elephanta Caves by ferry, with lunch back on the mainland, and the bazaars of the old city on the way back.
Sixteen hours of guiding across two days is enough to see Mumbai properly rather than tick it off. And because it is private, the plan is yours to change. Tell your guide on the morning what you want more of and less of, and the day moves around it.

Common questions
Both days: sixteen hours of guiding, a private air-conditioned car and driver throughout, hotel pickup each morning, and the Elephanta return ferry and site entry fee. Lunch and accommodation are not included.
Yes, and you do not need to decide in advance. Tell your guide on the morning what you want more or less of. It is a private tour, so the plan moves around you.
Yes. Many guests do, usually on day one. Tell us when booking or mention it to your guide on the day and we will build it in.
No, lunch is at your own cost on both days so you can choose what you like. Day one we break somewhere your guide recommends. Day two we eat after the ferry back from Elephanta, again at a restaurant we suggest to suit your taste and budget.
Yes. The return ferry from the Gateway of India and the site entry fee are both included and paid by us.
Pickup at 8, 9 or 10 in the morning, whichever suits. Each day runs about eight hours. An earlier start on day two is better because the Elephanta ferry gets busier later.
Yes, wherever possible. It is the main reason two days works better than two separate tours, because the second day builds on the first.
Elephanta is closed on Mondays. If your two days include a Monday we will run the caves on the other day and adjust the plan.
